Extreme Green Makeover
The Extreme Green Makeover program was created by the City of Maplewood and the Ramsey/Washington Metro Watershed District. Thirteen qualifying classes and events were offered for residents who might be interested in applying for a $15,000 GREEN makeover for their front yard. The nature center received 31 applications. Of these 14 sites were chosen for site visits by the judging committee. Of these, four finalists were interviewed. One lucky homeowner - in this case Michael and Michele Tibodeau - were selected as the winners! Congratulations! The four finalists were asked to submit an optional video (click on video below) answering the question:
"Why does your yard need an Extreme GREEN Makeover?"
